Peering Policy
Last updated on 01/10/2025
Requirements
This policy outlines the requirements for parties that wish to peer with Bharat Datacenter network and any downstream networks on a settlement free basis. Bharat Datacenter is willing to peer (IPv4 and IPv6) with networks which are connected to one or more exchange points which they have in common.
- Peers will only send us traffic that is destined for the prefixes we announce to you.
- Peers should not point default route at us or use static routes to send us traffic that does not match the routes we announce to a peer.
- Peers should not advertise routes to us that do not belong to their network or their downstream network.
- Peers must ensure that they suitably and proactively monitor their network and capacity to ensure that they do not end up dropping traffic
PNI: Peers with more than 3Gbps of concurrent traffic can request a PNI connectivity. Availablity of such shall be determined based on the location, feasiblity and contract
Availability
Bharat Datacenter can advertise routes selectively at each location depending on factors like the location’s proximity to service endpoints, and may advertise, withdraw, or cease advertising routes in its discretion in order to maintain availability, redistribute traffic, or mitigate abuse.
Peering with us under this policy is not a service offering, does not establish a contractual relationship, and is not subject to any service level agreements or network availability or other guarantees. Bharat Datacenter may modify or make exceptions to this policy at any time.
